Bacchanalia Literary Magazine is currently accepting submissions of flash fiction, poetry, essays, and visual art for Issue 1. Please read our guidelines below and submit your work for consideration by *November 30th*!

Guidelines

☆ All submissions must be sent via email to bacchanalialitmag@gmail.com.

☆ Flash fiction, non-fiction essays, and poetry must be attached in your email as a docx or pdf file. Visual art must be attached in your email as a jpg, jpeg, or png photo.

☆ All work must have a title.

☆ Include your name, pronouns, and any social media pages you’d like to share in your email submission.

☆ You may submit up to 3 poems, 3 visual art pieces, and 1 flash fiction/non-fiction essay piece at a time. You are allowed to send in different types of media as long as you follow the submission limit for each type of media.

☆ Poems may be up to 2 pages long and flash fiction/non-fiction essays must not exceed 3,000 words.

☆ We accept digital art, photography, and scanned traditional art.

☆ All work must be unpublished and original. You are allowed to submit work that you have previously posted on social media as long as it was not published with other organizations.

☆ We reject and frown upon any work that is created using AI.

☆ Your work will be reviewed and edited by our team, but we recommend reviewing your own work before submission.

☆ We do not accept any work that features or promotes racism, sexism, ablism, or any other form of discrimination.

☆ Bacchanalia Literary Magazine retains First Serial Rights for submissions accepted and published on an issue, meaning we are the first to publish your work, but you are free to publish it elsewhere afterward. We appreciate and recommend that you acknowledge our magazine as initial publishers if you repost your work elsewhere. We also reserve non-exclusive archival rights, which means we can keep your work published for an indefinite period.
